Well with out Google goggles I would have had know idea what the laptop was doing outside of rebooting constantly. My laptop gave me a blue screen, hardware error and it explained to me about the error codes. With out Google goggles none of this would have been possible. I will say, “I did get someone sighted” to make sure what I so with my app was correct. Sometimes also, it can do OCR on a number of documents and bee emailed to you for later viewing, such as a hand out from a teacher or college instructor. I Hope this helps you who are android users who are blind find a OCR app useful. On IOS devices, I have been told it works okay but not at the level in wich Android users like myself have experienced.

I just installed the app on my phone. It doesn't seem to ever come back with any results for the stuff I take a picture of. If I can get it to work right I know I'll love it though!

Okay, you need to either have very good lighting or turn on your lamp which is a button labled "camra light". Also let me see what camra is in the HTC status because 3 mega pixal camra's do not work well for OCR.

Ok thanks. I turn on the camera light every time I take a pic. I got it to work a little bit.

:) your welcome, I love that app. Oh, tweetcaster is a good app for twitter too, it lets you read your news feeds or tweets, reply or just click on the link and the app will kick you out on the web. I am new to twitter, so some of the terminology probly is not correct, my bad!!.

i am thinking about getting an android phone. i thought about the LG Enlighten vs700 but, that phone only has a 3.2 mega pixal camera. i was also thinking about geting the Modorola Droid 3 phone that has a 8 mega pixal camera. They are both phones with Verizon, because i am going to stay with that company. I think that this app would really come in handy for me. Do you have anymore ideas of good android phones that have physical keyboards that are with Verizon.

If it helps, I helped a new user who had the droid 3 and its a very nice plain android experance. What I loked about that phone is on the keyboard, not only did you have a enter key but the was a slecter key as well. I am not with VZ so not sure what phones they have. Go to VZ and play with some phones. Oh, if you want a exelent user experence stay away from the HTC sense because it covers up some basic apps that make it hard to use on the OS. It can bee gotten around with other apps such as texting but its better if you just stick with the plain experence of android. Others who have a android phone, have been with the platform long them me can tell you more about what phones are good on VZ.
